Weekly Trends: Godflesh Start the Long Goodbye, Crypta Unveil a New Lineup, Suicide Silence Show the Exit
Heavy week. One of the bands that built industrial metal from scratch started closing the book, four women from Brazil came back meaner than they left, and a deathcore institution showed us the door.

Godflesh drop Decay: The Second to Last Godflesh Record Hits Like a Wrecking Ball
Godflesh released Decay today through Relapse, and the news around it hurts more than the riffs. It's the tenth Godflesh album and the second to last one. Justin Broadrick says the band is now physically impossible for him. Years of screaming into that wall of noise gave him a hernia, and he wants to take heavy, ugly music somewhere new. Six tracks. I've only had it on for a few spins, so I'm not calling it a classic yet. But think about the footprint. Streetcleaner came out of Birmingham in 1989 and half of industrial metal still owes rent on it. Every band running a drum machine through a wall of distortion is living in Broadrick's house. So play it loud and show some respect while there's still a Godflesh to respect. Flowers for the grind.
Crypta unveil a new lineup: A Portrait of Decay Is a Steamroller From Brazil
Crypta are back with A Portrait of Decay, the first song from their new lineup. Fernanda Lira on bass and vocals, Tainá Bergamaschi and Victoria Villarreal on guitars, Luana Dametto on drums. They recorded it in Belgium in June, and it sounds like a stampede. The tour starts October 5 in Riverside, California, with Arch Enemy and The Black Dahlia Murder. Four women from Brazil putting in the miles and making death metal look easy. Go see them.
Suicide Silence show the exit: Make Your Exit Lands Ahead of Graceless
Suicide Silence dropped a video for Make Your Exit, track three off Graceless, out November 20 on Century Media. The Reminders of Hell Tour starts November 6 in Riverside with Emmure along for the ride. Eddie Hermida is still screaming like the rent is due. Respect.
Semana pesada.

Vayan a verlas.
Suicide Silence enseña la salida: Make Your Exit llega antes de Graceless
Respeto.
